Enrolments Welcome
The school welcomes enrolments from both five year olds entering the primary sector of the education system and older students who have moved into the area with their families.
If you live within our school zone, your child is entitled to attend Rimu School and we welcome applications for positions from families outside our zone 4 times a year. Details of our school zone can be found via http://nzschools.tki.org.nz/
Appointments With The Principal
Prospective parents are welcome to contact the school office to arrange an appointment with the Principal to have a look around and find out what wonderful opportunities the school has to offer their children.
Preschool Visits
We encourage parents of children due to turn five to pre enrol their children We encourage each pre-schooler to have at least two pre-entry visits, before the child’s fifth birthday. Your child’s New Entrant Teacher will contact you to arrange the first pre-entry visit.

Out of Zone - Enrolment Scheme Applications Currently Open for 2021
Please contact Mel at the Office to complete an Out of Zone Enrolment Form for the Ballot. Our current ballot closes on Friday 8th of April at 3pm.

About Us
Rimu School is a Full Primary school, which caters for students from new entrant through to year 8. Our school is proud of the supportive, caring environment which focuses on meeting the individual needs of each and every student. We are a country school only 10 minutes from the city.
